Denise (Dupuis) Osterfield passed away on July 27, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of love, laughter, and memories cherished by her family and friends.
Born on March 2, 1961, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Mary (Dulac) Dupuis. Denise was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend whose infectious laugh, beautiful smile and bright spirit could light up any room. She had a way of making people feel comfortable and welcome, and brought genuine joy to the people around her.
A graduate of Fitchburg State University, Denise spent over 25 years working at Sterlite Corporation in Townsend, Massachusetts, where she lived for the majority of her life and raised her family. Townsend was home to Denise, and it was there that she built a life filled with the people and experiences she loved.
Denise found happiness in so many of life's simple pleasures. She loved music, cooking, working on puzzles and playing cards. She enjoyed being on the water and taking long walks through the woods with her dogs, finding peace in the quiet and beauty around her.
Animals held an especially big place in Denise's heart. She loved both cats and dogs deeply and never hesitated to give an animal love, care, and a home. Her compassion for animals was simply part of who she was.
Above all, Denise loved her family. They were the center of her life, and she treasured every opportunity to be together. The love she shared with them was one of the greatest parts of who she was and that love will continue through the memories they carry with them.
She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Tim Osterfield; her son Jason and his wife, Rebecca; her son James and his wife, Kelsey; her grandchildren, Derek, Liam, and Jameson; and her sister Renee Miglionico.
She is predeceased by her sister Michele Hudson.
She will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
