Edward J. Beaudoin Obituary (1934

Edward J. Beaudoin, Jr., 90, a longtime resident of Chelmsford, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at High Pointe House Hospice surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of the late Barbara Ann (Hamilton) Beaudoin with whom he shared 65 years of marriage until her passing in 2020. He was born in Haverhill on October 6, 1934, and was the son of the late Edward J. and Josephine I. (Grieco) Beaudoin. First and foremost, Ed was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. His life was marked by hard work, dedication to his family, and a deep love for the simple joys of life. Born and raised in Haverhill, MA, Ed was the only child of a close-knit family. From an early age, he developed a passion for carpentry, which would continue throughout his life. He attended Haverhill Trade School to first learn his craft, and then continued his education at Lowell Technical Institute, where he focused on engineering studies. Ed spent the majority of his 40-year career at Pope Machinery in Haverhill, where he began as a draftsman, and eventually worked his way up to Vice President of Engineering. Ed also valued his time out of work; family vacations in Wolfeboro and Ossipee, NH, were cherished times, as were visits to the beach, traveling abroad, and spending countless hours in the basement with his woodworking projects, creating everything from dollhouses to heirloom furniture. Early on in his work career, he came to meet his future wife, Barbara. They married in October 1955, and spent an amazing 65 years together, raising 5 children and creating a lifetime of memories. Throughout life, his greatest joy remained his family; he took great pride in watching his children, grandchildren, and later, great-grandchildren grow and thrive, and could always be found at their birthdays, sporting events, dance recitals, graduations, and later, weddings. Edward leaves his children, Karen Keisling and her husband John of East Hampstead, NH, Mike Beaudoin and his wife Gail of New Boston, NH, Pamela Eriksen and her husband Joseph of Chelmsford, Susan Beale and her fiance Mike Nagy of Key West, FL, and John Beaudoin and his wife Sephora Borges of Chelmsford. He also leaves his grandchildren, John Keisling, Jr. and his wife Kate, Rachel Keisling, Matthew Beaudoin and his wife Amanda, Lauren (Beaudoin) Soares and her husband Zack, Lauren (Hunter) Aponte and her husband Luis, Kyle Beaudoin, Taylor Eriksen, Ruby Beaudoin, Frances Borges-Beaudoin, as well as his brother-in-law and sister-in-law and their families. Edward is also survived by several cousins and their families. He was fortunate to find loving companionship later in life with Mary Anne Taylor, who brought him joy and comfort in his final years. Rest in peace, Edward. You are deeply missed, but your memory will live on in the hearts of all who have had the privilege of knowing you. Memorial donations may be made in Edward's name to High Pointe House Hospice, or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Visiting Hours will be held on Sunday, July 6, 2025, from 4:00 pm- 7:00 pm at the Blake Chelmsford Funeral Home, 24 Worthen St., Chelmsford. His Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, July 7, 2025, at 9 am at St. John the Evangelist Parish, 115 Middlesex St., North Chelmsford. KINDLY GATHER AT THE CHURCH.
