Elizabeth Gray

Elizabeth "Betty" Gray, 85, a resident of Chelmsford for the past 56 years and formerly of Concord., died on Sunday, February 15, 2009, surrounded by her family at Willow Manor Nursing Home after a long battle with Alzheimer's. She was the beloved wife of Charles A. Gray who survives her and resides in Chelmsford. She was born on March 11, 1923 in Concord a daughter of the late Jesse F. and Gertrude (Lawrence) Baker. Mrs. Gray graduated from Concord High School in 1941 and worked as a bank teller at the Concord Co-Operative Bank. She was a member of the Central Congregational Church. In addition to her loving husband she is survived by a daughter, Sharyn Findlay of Windham, NH, three granddaughters, Hope and David Gagne of Chester, NH, Erin and Ed Foley of Bow, NH, Meg and Nicholas Couture of Litchfield, NH, five great grandchildren and three sisters, Eleanor Darling and Shirley Leavitt of Concord and Marion Wilson of Cotuit. She was pre-deceased by two sisters, Ruth Wilkins of Florida and Faye Emerson of Maine. There will be no calling hours. Funeral Services will be held privately. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Betty's name to the charity of one's choice or to the Alzheimer's Association, 311 Arsenal St., Watertown, MA 02472.
