Elizabeth Ann MacNeill Obituary (1932 - 2016)

CHELMSFORD Elizabeth Ann (MacGillvray) MacNeill, 84, a longtime resident of Chelmsford, passed away at her home on Monday, June 27, 2016. She was the beloved wife of Norman MacNeill to whom she had been married for 62 years. She was born in Boston on March 9. 1932 and was a daughter of the late Daniel and Catherine (Boyd) MacGillvray. Elizabeth worked for over 20 years in the Chelmsford School System as a cafeteria worker where she enjoyed being with the children. She loved traveling, especially to Maine. Elizabeth was very devoted to her family and treasured her time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to her loving husband, Elizabeth is survived by a son, Edmund MacNeill and his wife Sharon of Tampa, FL and a daughter, Ellen Lyons and her husband Steven of Chelmsford, five grandchildren; Scott Lyons and his wife Mara of Lowell, Gregory Lyons and his wife Kristin of Chelmsford, and Cameron, Bryan, and Janet MacNeill, all of Tampa, FL, and two great-grandchildren; Russell and Steven. She also leaves her cousin Cathy Bowles and her husband Al of Littleton and many nieces and nephews. Elizabeth was predeceased by her seven brothers and sisters. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday from 9 to 11 am at the BLAKE FUNERAL HOME, 24 Worthen St., CHELMSFORD followed by her Funeral Service at 11 oclock at the funeral home. Interment in Pine Ridge Cemetery, Chelmsford.
