Elizabeth M. 'Betty' Wallace Obituary (1929 - 2018)

Elizabeth M. "Betty" ( Johnson) Wallace, 89, a longtime Chelmsford resident passed away peacefully on Tuesday February 27, 2018. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert A. Wallace. Born in Arlington, MA on January 15, 1929, she was a daughter of the late Andrew and Malin (Nilsson) Johnson of Sweden. Betty was a very strong woman who used a vocabulary that did not include the word "can't." She was a talented seamstress and was an avid doll collector. She always enjoyed trips to flea markets and looked forward to vacationing in Moultonborough on Lake Winnipesaukee. Betty was also very happy spending time in the garden. She was a loving mother and will be missed dearly by her children, Andrew G. Wallace of Lowell and his companion, Kelley Manitakos of Chelmsford, Marla A. Wallace of North Chelmsford, Susan E. Johnson and her husband David Gaudette of Chelmsford; her grandchildren, Melissa Whittaker and Heather Johnson; a great grandson, Austin Whittaker; a sister-in-law, Audrey Johnson of Burlington; many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Andrea E. Fox, William Johnson, Joseph Johnson, Nils Johnson, Robert Johnson, Peter Johnson, G. Barbara Falgren and Dorothy Allen. Visitation will be held on Saturday March 3, 2018 from 11 am until 2 PM in the BLAKE CHELMSFORD FUNERAL HOME, 24 Worthen Street, CHELMSFORD. A Funeral Service will follow in the Funeral Home at 2:30 PM. Interment will be held privately.
