Francis P Romano

LITTLETON-Francis P. Romano, a longtime resident of Littleton, passed away peacefully at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack, NH on Tuesday, September 24th, at the age of 77. He was the beloved husband of Deborah A. (Greene) Romano with whom he celebrated 39 years of marriage on August 30th.

He was born in Boston on July 17, 1942 and was a son of the late Vincent N. and Hermaine (Kuklovski) Romano.

Franc was a veteran of the United States Air Force having served as an Air Traffic Controller, stationed in Bangor, Maine in the 1960's. He earned both his Bachelor's Degree and his MBA from Northeastern University and began his career with Digital Equipment Corp. He retired from Sun Microsystems in 2002. Franc was an avid golfer who also enjoyed bicycling, photography and exercising. He loved model trains, beta testing for gaming systems and traveling with his wife. When something sparked his interest, Franc would learn everything there was to learn about it. He also spoke five languages.

In addition to his loving wife, Franc is survived by his daughters; Selena Romano of Manchester, NH and Arianna Jones and her husband Doug of Falmouth, ME, four grandchildren; Autumn, Isadora, Sadira and Donovan Jones, all of Falmouth, ME. He also leaves his sister, Mari Romano of Pittsburgh, PA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Naka Infusion Center at Emerson Hospital, 131 Old Road to Nine Acre Corner, Suite 201, 2nd Floor John Cuming Building, Concord, MA 01742 or Community Hospice House, 210 Naticook Road, Merrimack, NH 03054.

Visitation will be held on Friday from 5 pm to 7 pm at the Blake Chelmsford Funeral Home, 24 Worthen Street, Chelmsford.

A graveside service will be held privately at a later date.
