Chelmsford, Massachusetts
Herbert Silver, a resident of Seven Hill's group home located at 38 Old Stage Road in Chelmsford, died peacefully on the morning of November 26th.
Herbert was 87 years old and he was fortunate to come under the warm and excellent care of the skilled personnel managing the group home.
Previously, Herbert had been in a nursing home in Malden and before that in a red brick institution in Waltham. Herbert moved into the group home in June of 2001.
Herbert was the son of the late Helen and Arthur Silver of Lynn, Massachusetts. Herbert's younger brother, Morton, died in 2013.
He is survived by his nephews Elan and Ethan Silver, whom he loved and in whose company he was always happy. Herbert is the uncle of Michael Silver and the brother-in-law of Ruth.
Herbert loved to be driven by Anthony to New Haven to see his family although the group home was his primary 'family.'
Herbert attended Temple Isaiah in Lexington, Massachusetts and Rabbi Howard Jaffe referred to him "a sweet soul."
All praise for Herbert's care rests with the love of his caretakers at 38 Old Stage Road, Chelmsford.
