Janeice C Vasseur Janssen Obituary (1949 - 2016)

CHELMSFORD Janeice C. (Fone) Vasseur Janssen, 66, of Chelmsford, formerly of Woburn and Lexington, passed away April 18, 2016 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was the beloved wife of Frans Janssen with whom she would have celebrated 20 years of marriage on April 27th. She was born in Medford on September 24, 1949, the daughter of the late Robert J. and Doris E. (Taylor) Fone. Janeice, a 1967 graduate of Lexington High School, studied business and made her career as a secretary. She met and married the love of her life while employed at a Dutch owned company. She retired and moved with her husband to Holland until his retirement, when they returned to Woburn beginning another chapter in their life. One of her passions was cooking and especially baking. She would bring all kinds of wonderful goodies wherever she went. Janeice was a loving, kind and generous person who will be missed by her family and numerous friends. The family wishes to express sincere gratitude for the wonderful care Janeice received from the staff at Lowell General Hospital Cancer Center. In addition to her loving husband, Janeice leaves a son Chris Vasseur and his wife Ace, a sister Marcia and brother Bruce. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 1 until 3 PM at the Blake Funeral Home, 24 Worthen St., Chelmsford followed by her Funeral Service at 3 oclock. Interment will be private.
