Joyce E Benjamin Obituary (1924

ACTON Joyce E. (Pickup) (Webster) Benjamin, age 91, a longtime resident of Chelmsford passed away peacefully Saturday, January 23, 2016 at the Life Care Center of Acton. She was predeceased by her first husband Ernest G. Webster and was also the wife of the late Embert J. Benjamin. She was born in Lowell on August 31, 1924, the daughter of the late Albert R. and Anna (Thibault) Pickup. Joyce was employed for many years at Medical Associates of Chelmsford and later worked for Anna Jacques Hospital in Newburyport. She later retired from Raytheon Corporation in Bedford. She enjoyed square dancing and ballroom dancing. She also liked to go camping, walking and swimming. Her greatest enjoyment came from time spent with her family. Joyce was a devoted and cherished mother, grandmother and great grandmother and will be missed by all who knew her and loved her. She is survived by her three children; Janice Webster of Sarasota, FL, Carol Bakey and her husband James of Littleton and Gary Webster and his wife Ellen of Manchester, NH, six step children; Kathleen Rush, Mary Ann Perrine, Gary Benjamin, Michael Benjamin, James Benjamin and the late Deborah Benjamin; 6 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and her brother Alan Pickup and his wife Lorraine of Missouri. Visitation will be held at the Blake Funeral Home, 24 Worthen Street, Chelmsford on Thursday from 11 am until 12 pm . Her Funeral Service will follow at 12 oclock in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Edson Cemetery, Lowell. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Nashoba Park Assisted Living Activity Fund, 15 Winthrop Ave., Ayer, MA 01432.
