Joyce 'Joy' E. Beaubien Harmer

CHELMSFORD Joyce E. Joy Beaubien Harmer, 60, a lifelong resident of Chelmsford, passed away peacefully on Saturday August 8, 2015 following a lengthy illness. She was the beloved wife of Robert Harmer who survives her and resides in Chelmsford.

Born in Lowell on September 19, 1954, Joy was a daughter of the late Donald and Beatrice (Hamblett) Beaubien. She received her education in Chelmsford schools and was a graduate of Chelmsford High School, class of 1972.

Joy was employed by Enterprise Bank for over 25 years, and was currently the Branch Manager at the North Billerica Branch. She was very active in the Billerica community and served on both the town Scholarship Foundation Committee and the Billerica Yankee Doodle Homecoming Committee.

She enjoyed quilting, boating and trips to Ogunquit, ME. She was a selfless person that will be missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her loving husband, Joy is survived by her siblings; Donald Beaubien Jr. and his wife Diane of Chelmsford, Allan Beaubien and his wife Debbie of Pepperell, Jane Hoxie and her husband Richard of Simpsonville, SC and Dianne Ring and her husband David of Holliston. Survivors also include her lifelong best friend Linda (Belleville) Decker and numerous nieces, nephews and grandnieces.

Visiting hours will be held from 4 to 8 PM on Tuesday at the BLAKE FUNERAL HOME, 24 Worthen St., CHELMSFORD. Committal services will be PRIVATE at Heart Pond Cemetery, Chelmsford. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Billerica Scholarship Foundation, c/o Treasurer, Billerica Town Hall, 365 Boston Road, Billerica, MA 01821.
