Katherine V Ferreira Obituary (1927 - 2014)

CHELMSFORD Katherine V. (Welch) Ferreira, 87, a longtime resident of Chelmsford, passed away at her home on Tuesday, November 18, 2014. She was the beloved wife of the late Charles Ferreira who died in 2009. She was born in Lowell on April 1, 1927 and was a daughter of the late William and Margaret (Phuswoski) Welch. Katherine was a communicant of St. Mary Parish in Chelmsford. She was an avid Patriots fan and she loved traveling to Disney World. Above all, Katherine loved her family and cherished her time spent with them. She is survived by her loving children: Kathleen and her husband Howie Neild, Charles W. and his wife Peg Ferreira, Karen Ferreira, Charlene Ferreira and her husband Glenn Mayers, Karla and her husband Glenn Kohl. She was a devoted grandmother to Stephanie Casper and her husband David, Craig & Aana Greenwood, Geoffrey Neild, Garrett Greenwood and his wife Andrea, Marine Captain Douglas Ferreira, Kathryn Ferreira, Matthew Kohl, and Katelin Kohl, and her great-grandchildren; Madeline and Sarah Greenwood and Aidan Siguenza. She was the mother of the late Kevin Ferreira. Visiting hours Sunday from 2 to 5 pm at the Blake Funeral Home, 24 Worthen St., Chelmsford. A Mass will be celebrated on Monday at 9 oclock at St. Mary Parish, 25 North Road, Chelmsford. Interment in Pine Ridge Cemetery, Chelmsford.
