Kathleen J Conner Obituary (1940 - 2015)

Kathleen J. (Dykeman) Conner, 74, a longtime resident of Chelmsford died peacefully on Wednesday November 25, 2015 surrounded by family at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House. She was the beloved wife of John C. Conner with whom she shared a loving 52 year marriage. Born in Charles City, Iowa on December 15, 1940, she was the only daughter of Donald and Palma (Peterson) Dykeman. Kathy was raised in Iowa and educated in Minnesota. She received a certificate in nursing from the Methodist Kahler School of Nursing in Rochester, MN. For 25 years she was employed as a nurse by Lahey Hospital and Medical Center, Burlington having retired twelve years ago. Kathy was an active member at Aldersgate United Methodist Church in Chelmsford. In addition to her husband John, survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Jerome and Kara Conner of Chelmsford, MA; Joel and Deborah Conner of Haverhill, MA; three grandchildren, Jeffrey, Matthew and Gwendolynn Conner; a brother, Loren Dykeman and his wife, Doris of Ankeny, IA; a brother-in-law, Joseph Conner of Houston, TX; many nieces, nephews and dear friends. She was the sister of the late Warren Dykeman and sister-in-law of the late James Conner. Visitation will be held on Tuesday December 1, 2015 from 4 until 8 PM in the BLAKE FUNERAL HOME, 24 Worthen Street, Chelmsford. Her Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday morning at 10 oclock in Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 242 Boston Road, Chelmsford. PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH. Interment will be private.
