Kathryn L. Westberry

Kathryn L. (Howe) Westberry LPN, 60, a resident of Lowell for the greater part of her life, died on Monday, March 2, 2009. She was the beloved wife of Joe C. Westberry who survives her and resides in Lowell.

She was born on November 8, 1948 in Cambridge, a daughter of Frederick W. Howe of Lowell and the late Elizabeth M. (MacKenzie) Howe who died September, 2008.

Prior to her retirement she had worked as a Geriatric Nursing Supervisor at D'Youville Manor and Sunbridge Nursing Home both in Lowell. She was the first LPN supervisor in the City of Lowell. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene, Lowell.

In addition to her loving husband and father she is survived by three sons; Richard E. Westberry of Pepperell, Frederick H. Westberry and his fianc Michelle of Lowell and Charles E. Westberry of N. Chelmsford, five grandchildren, Jacob, Andrew, Kenneth, Cameron and Ryleigh and two sisters, Janet Holst and her husband Carlton of Franklin and Bonnie Akerley and her husband Kenneth of Lowell. She also leaves a special friend, Linda Paquin of Tewksbury and a daughter in-law, Melinda Westberry of N. Chelmsford.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday evening from 5 to 8 pm at the BLAKE FUNERAL HOME, 24 Worthen St., Chelmsford, MA.

A Funeral Service will be held on SATURDAY MORNING, March 7th at 10 o'clock at the funeral home.

Interment in St. Mary's Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Kathryn's name to the Lowell General Hospital, Cancer Center, 295 Varnum Ave., Lowell, MA 01854.
