Laurence C. Jones Jr. Obituary (1930

Laurence C. Jones Jr., 77, a 30 year Chelmsford resident, past away Saturday August 9, 2008, at his home after an extended illness. He was the beloved husband of Lorna J. (Ricker) Jones who survives him and resides in Chelmsford. Laurence was born in Newton on November 19, 1930, the son of the late Laurence C. Jones Sr. and Jennie (Evans) Jones. He received his early education in Newton schools, and attended Bentley College. He was a Korean War Veteran, having served in the U.S. Air Force. Prior to his retirement Laurence had worked as a Claims Adjuster in the Auto Industry. Besides his loving wife, Laurence is survived by his sister Carol Smith who resides in Stoughton, and his four children. A graveside service will be held at Bourne National Cemetery, Bourne, MA, at a later date. In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be made in Laurence's name to the Lowell General Hospital Cancer Center 295 Varnum Ave., Lowell,MA 01854.
