Lea E. Santos Obituary (1998 - 2018)

WESTFORD- Lea Elena Santos, 19, of Westford, passed away unexpectedly on Monday January 22, 2018. She was the beloved daughter of Karen A. Ancas and Anthony J. Santos both of Westford. Lea was born in Newton, MA on May 13, 1998. She was a 2016 graduate of Westford Academy. She was currently enrolled as a sophomore at University of Massachusetts Lowell where she was studying Psychology, Sociology, Criminal Justice, and Art. She was a talented artist, a free spirit, an admirer of vintage, unconventional culture, and a loving family member. Lea spent her summers at Lake Winnipesaukee, where she shared her best memories with her Lake Family. She enjoyed all genres of music, and collected vinyl albums from many different artists, especially the Grateful Dead, Sublime, Jimi Hendrex and the Rolling Stones. Lea had a big heart and her career goals were to support and help others faced with difficulties. With that in mind, donations in memory of Lea can be made to The Boys and Girls Club of Lowell. In addition to her parents, Lea is survived by her brother, Jan Santos, and sister, Eva Santos, both of Westford; her aunt and uncle, Richard Santos and Tracie Gilliss Santos of Gloucester; and many dear friends. Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 28th, from 2-6 PM in the Blake Chelmsford Funeral Home, 24 Worthen Street, Chelmsford. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday evening, January 29th, at 5 PM in the First Parish Church of Groton, 1 Powder House Road, Groton, MA 01450. Interment will be held privately.
