Loretta F. Dean Obituary (1917 - 2015)

CHELMSFORD Loretta F. (Gagnon) Dean, of Chelmsford and formerly of Nashua, NH, Wells, ME, and Burlington, Melrose, and Stoneham, MA and P.E.I. Canada, died on Sunday, March 15, 2015 at Sunny Acres Nursing Home in Chelmsford. She was 98. She was born in Boston on January 27, 1917 to Albert and Loretta (Nelder) Gagnon. In 1941, Loretta married Charles W. Dean who predeceased her in 1998. She is survived by her three children; son, Charles Wes Dean and his wife Anne, and daughters Julie Hall and Diana Brown and her partner Peter; 14 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and adopted children Paul and Wilma Bean. In addition to her husband, Loretta was predeceased by her sons-in-law George Brown and Richard Hall. Loretta was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church in Stoneham where she was a choir member. She resided at Sunny Acres Nursing Home in Chelmsford where she received wonderful and compassionate care from the staff for which her family is very thankful. Visitation will be held at the Blake Funeral Home, 24 Worthen St., Chelmsford on Saturday from 1 to 4 pm followed by a Prayer Service beginning at 4 pm. Interment will be private. Memorial donations in Lorettas name may be made to Boston Childrens Hospital, 300 Longwood Avenue, Boston, MA 02115.
