Marianne Pedulla Obituary (1928 - 2014)

Family, love and devotion. These are the words that best capture the life of Marianne (Sica) Pedulla until her last day on December 16, 2014. Loving wife of the late Peter S. Pedulla for 62 years. Beloved mother of Thomas Pedulla and his wife Christine Aquilino of Arlington, Paul Pedulla and his partner Dr. Lawrence Ferrara of Cambridge, Pete Pedulla of Lowell and Maryellen (Pedulla) McDonnell and her husband Tim of Arlington. Devoted Nana to two grandchildren, Nolan and Carys McDonnell. Elder child of the late Vincent Sica and the late Libera (Senesi) Sica of Somerville, beloved sister of Joseph V. Sica and his wife Duane of Covington, Louisiana. Also survived by many loving in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and neighbors. Marianne was born on August 16, 1928 in Somerville. She learned to play the piano, which brought her much joy in the late 1940s and 1950s, especially when accompanied by her saxophonist husband Peter and the ten-piece band they formed. Marianne and Her Orchestra played throughout the Boston area and was a much sought-after band. In addition, Marianne was a skilled medical secretary for a number of prominent Boston physicians. Whenever she put her mind to doing anything, she excelled. Most of Mariannes life was spent as a wife, mother and dedicated homemaker in Chelmsford, where she was also known as a caring friend to many and a fantastic cook. Her baking ability even won her a new stove in a Lowell-area baking contest one year. If youre lucky enough to have sampled her apple pie or manicotti, you know theres nothing more to say. Visiting hours on Friday from 4 to 8 pm at the Blake Funeral Home 24, Worthen St., Chelmsford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10 oclock at St. John the Evangelist Parish, 115 Middlesex Street, North Chelmsford, MA 01863. PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH.
