Marie Kozulak

CHELMSFORD Marie (Swihun) Kozulak, 96, a longtime resident of Chelmsford, passed away on May 21, 2013 at Lowell General Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Michael Kozulak who died in September 2011 shortly before their 70th anniversary.

She was born on June 14, 1916 and was a daughter of the late Anton and Anna (Gula) Swihun.

Marie spent her life tending to her home and family. She enjoyed reading and listening to music. She had a love of the arts especially classical painters. Marie loved to cook many different dishes, particularly Italian and Ukranian. She was a very talented cake decorator and enjoyed sharing her cakes and cookies with family and friends. Marie was very disciplined about maintaining a healthy life style which she attributed to her long life. Marie had a wonderful sense of humor with a gift for making others laugh.

Marie is survived by her son Nicholas Kozulak of Dennisport, MA and several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Kenneth Kozulak who died in 1964.

Visiting hours Thursday from 4 to 8 pm at the BLAKE FUNERAL HOME, 24 Worthen St., CHELMSFORD. Her Funeral Service will be on Friday at 11:30 AM at Holy Trinity Hellenic Orthodox Church, 62 Lewis St., Lowell, MA.

Interment in Pine Ridge Cemetery, Chelmsford.
