Mary G. Maloney Obituary (1914 - 2013)

LOWELL Mary G. (Murphy) Maloney, 98, wife of the late John F. Maloney, Sr., died on January 17, 2013. She was born in Lowell on December 1, 1914, the daughter of the late Francis J. and Gertrude (Little) Murphy. Formerly of Lowell, she was a graduate of Lowell High School and Rogers Hall. Mary was a communicant of St. Mary Church in Chelmsford and a member of the Lowell Garden Club. She retired from the Fred C. Church Insurance Agency. Mary enjoyed spending time with her family. She was an accomplished seamstress and enjoyed long rides to the ocean. Surviving Mary are her daughter Martha E. Livingston and her husband William of Chelmsford; five sons and their wives, John F. Maloney, Jr. and Kathleen of Chelmsford, Paul C. Maloney and Catherine of Cheshire, MA, David M. Maloney and Dorothy of Londonderry, NH, Philip S. Maloney and Susan of Hampton, NH, and Richard B. Maloney and Barbara of Lowell with whom she resided. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; Bridget Hulslander of Taylorsville, Utah, Michael Maloney of Portsmouth, NH, Shannon and Bridget Maloney of Cheshire, MA, Allyson Linstad of Massena, NY, Carolyn Nicoli of Alexandria, NH, Kathleen Maloney of Lowell, Sean Maloney of Shelton, CT, Colleen DiGiovanni of Worcester, MA, Molly Maloney of Hampton, NH, and Karly Jack, and Elizabeth Maloney of Lowell. Mary also leaves two step grandchildren Erin Lallemand and Kelly Barrucci and nine great grandchildren. She was also great grandmother of the late infant Jack Parker Maloney. Mary was the sister of the late Dorothy K. Abbott. The family would like to give a special thank you to Marys long term caretaker Milly Berube who was our angel. Visiting hours will be held on Monday from 4 to 8 pm at BLAKE FUNERAL HOME, 24 Worthen St., Chelmsford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday morning at 11 oclock at St. Mary Parish, 25 North Rd., Chelmsford. Interment in St. Mary Cemetery, Tewksbury. In lieu of flowers a donation may be made in her memory to the VNA & Hospice of Greater Lowell, 336 Central St., Lowell, MA 01852.
