Mary M. White, 87, of Andover, formerly of Billerica, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 26, 2026 surrounded by her loving family at her son Bill's home.
She was born on July 25, 1939, to William and Mary (Kane) Fraser. She graduated from Nazareth High School.
Mary married William "Bill" White Sr. on October 4, 1958, sharing 62 years of marriage with him until his passing in 2021. They lived in South Boston before relocating the family to their cherished home on Garnet Road in Billerica, where many wonderful memories were made. Mary was well-liked and admired by her co-workers at Market Basket, Commercial Bank and Trust, and Dynamic Research but her proudest job and accomplishment was being a homemaker raising and caring for her 5 children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and everyone who came to her home through the open door she kept for anyone who needed it. Family was everything to Mary, cherishing everyone gathering together, especially Christmas Eve where her house was fully decorated including multiple trees and her Department 56 Snow Village.
Mary was happiest in social occasions whether it was luncheons, playing games including mahjong and bingo or meeting and socializing with others as a Tupperware consultant, member of a knitting club, or member of the Red Hat Society.
Mary is survived by her sons William "Bill" White Jr. (Karen) and Michael White (Pam); her daughters Karen Brown, Patricia Ross, and Kristen Bernard (Edgar "Eddie"); her grandchildren James "Jim" Brown IV (Melissa), Michelle Cole (David), Craig Ross (Kari), Nicole Ross (Torin), Nickolas Morrell (Sherise), Sean White (Morgan), Casey White (Jocelyn), Ryan White (Raquel) , Katelyn "Kate" White and Adam White; and many great-grandchildren, extended family and friends including those from Mission Towers and Vantage at Andover.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Anne Dabrowski (Daniel) and her brother Paul Fraser (Diane).
Mary's Family would like to thank all the staff and residents at Vantage at Andover, where she called home for the last four years for their care and friendship. The family would also like to extend our thanks to Compassus Hospice, notably Nurse Hannah for her care and support, as well as how she guided and navigated our family through the last few days.
Family and friends are invited to attend her visiting hours on Thursday, October 29, 2026, from 4pm – 7pm at the Blake Chelmsford Funeral Home, 24 Worthen St, Chelmsford. Her funeral service and interment will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mary's memory may be made to Compassus Hospice, 790 Turnpike St #202 North Andover, MA 01845.
