Maryann R. Leonard Popolizio Obituary (1944

WESTFORD-Maryann R. Leonard Popolizio, 67, a longtime resident of Westford, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family Friday August 19, 2011. She was the Beloved wife of Vincent J. Popolizio who survives her and resides in Westford. She also was the wife of the late George S. Leonard who died in 1981. She was born on February 27, 1944 in Chelsea, a daughter of the late Walter and Alice (Gurska) Boni of Chelsea Maryann was the owner and operator of the Westford Package Store for the last 19 years. She also was a member of the Westford Rotary Club for many years, she enjoyed reading, going to dinner with family and friends, and enjoyed every moment spent with her two grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Maryann is survived by her loving children; Donna Bursey and her husband Robert, Jr. of Tyngsboro, Stephen Leonard of Westford and his fianc Kim Lacross and her daughter Isabel, and Sean Leonard of Lowell, 2 grandchildren; Brandon and Amanda Bursey, who were her pride and joy, and 3 brothers and 1 sister. She also leaves many nieces and nephews and many close friends that she treasured dearly. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the BLAKE FUNERAL HOME, 24 Worthen St., CHELMSFORD. Her Funeral Service will be at the Funeral Home on Wednesday at 11 o'clock. Interment in Fairview Cemetery, Westford.
