Merope Boukas Obituary (1926

Merope (Lagoutaris) Boukas, 83, a resident of Lowell, died on Saturday, Nov. 7, 2009, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Evangellos N. Boukas of Lowell. Born on April 18, 1926 in Mytelene, Greece, she was a daughter of the late Vasili and Eirine (Psarianos) Lagoutaris. Mrs. Boukas worked as a seamstress for many years, and retired from Kaps of Lawrence in 1988. She is survived by three daughters; Christine Logiotatos and her husband Niko of Lowell, Katherine Koumoutseas of Virginia, and Irene Liakakos and her husband George of Nashua, 8 grandchildren; Vasiliki and Michael Sarrou, Merope and Peter Koumoutseas, and Electra, Stella, Johnny, and Billy Liakakos, as well as 2 great grandchildren; Riley Grace and Bubba. Visiting hours will be held on Monday from 4 to 8 pm at the BLAKE FUNERAL HOME, 24 Worthen St., Chelmsford. Her Funeral will take place from the funeral home on Tuesday morning at 8:30 followed by a Funeral Service at 10 o'clock at the Assumption of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church, Dracut. Interment to follow in Westlawn II Cemetery, Lowell.
