Michael Patrick McDonald

Michael P. McDonald, a lifelong Chelmsford resident, passed away on Saturday August 6, 2016 at the age of 23, after losing a battle with depression. Michael was born on August 14, 1992, in Lowell. He was the loving son of John A. and Lori L. (Young) McDonald and brother of Alicia L. McDonald, and Shannon M. McDonald, of Chelmsford.

Mike was educated in Chelmsford schools and was a 2010 graduate of Chelmsford High School. He grew up playing in the dirt with his Hot Wheels, which grew into designing and drawing cars for hours on end. His childhood passion led him into a career in automotive sales, where he shared his enthusiasm with his clients as he helped them find their dream car, most recently at Tulley BMW of Manchester, NH. Michael loved to take long drives to clear his head and enjoyed taking in the beauty of the sunset. Some of his best times recently was playing SkipBo with his parents, a tradition carried on by generations of his family. Michael will be missed dearly by his beloved dog, Hashi.

Michael was loved by so many, especially his parents, sisters, family and friends. In loving memory of Michael, if you are feeling sad or depressed, please seek help and know that there are people available to speak to.

In addition to his parents and sisters, Michael is survived by his great grandmother, Doris Young; maternal grandparents, David and Patricia Young; paternal grandparents, Norma McDonald, and the late John F. McDonald Jr.; aunts and uncles, Kevin Young, Steven and Carolyn Young, David Young, Alison and Christopher Geehan, Nancy Young; many special cousins, and very dear friends including, Sean Morris and Joey Guarnera.

Visitation will be held on Thursday August 11, 2016 at the BLAKE FUNERAL HOME, 24 Worthen St., CHELMSFORD from 4 until 8 PM. A Graveside Funeral Service will be held on Friday afternoon at 1 PM at St. Joseph Cemetery, 96 Riverneck Rd, Chelmsford. PLEASE MEET AT THE CEMETERY.
