Minnie L. Vitale Obituary (1915

CHELMSFORD-Minnie L. (Joy) Vitale died peacefully on Saturday, December 4th with her family beside her. She was most recently a resident of Sunny Acres in Chelmsford, MA. Previously she resided in Stamford, Connecticut for 50 years. She was born in Youngstown, Ohio, one of eight children. She is predeceased by her husband, Fred R. Vitale and her daughter, Nancy Bruce. She is survived by her son, Fred Vitale of Danbury, CT and his wife Shirley and daughter, Brenna, her daughter Vivian Vitale of Westford, MA and her husband Robert Brown, Jr. and their children Bryan and Blair, as well as her son-on-law, Richard Bruce and his daughter her beloved Eileen. She has one surviving sibling, Mary Donatelli of Lowellville, OH. Minnie Vitale made her life as a homemaker and family and food always came first. She was a devoted wife and mother who set high standards for her family and the quality of her home. She was a wonderful cook and delighted in discussing recipes and debating the various pros and cons of different cooking techniques. Her apple pie will be long remembered and will never quite be successfully duplicated. She was also a devout Catholic and a parishioner of St. Cecilia's Church in Stamford, CT for many years. She had a special devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary and believed she had many, many prayers answered as a result of her faith. Calling hours will be held on Monday from 4-8 pm at the BLAKE FUNERAL HOME, 24 Worthen St., Chelmsford, MA. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock at St. Catherine's Church, 107 North Main St., Westford, MA. Interment in Calvary Cemetery, Youngstown, OH.
