Muriel L. McGrann

Muriel L. (Witt) McGrann, 91, a longtime resident of Chelmsford, passed away peacefully at Meadow Green Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Waltham, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late John F. McGrann with whom she shared 44 years of marriage until his passing in 2010.

She was born in Dryden, Ontario, Canada on November 19, 1932, and was the daughter of the late Clarence M. and Berniece (LaBrash) Witt.

In 1958, she started her nursing career in pediatrics and continued to work until 1992. She was employed at the University of Minnesota, MN, Bostons Children Hospital as well as Saint Josephs Hospital in Boston. She began her studies at Winnipeg General Hospital in Winnipeg, Manitoba and completed her studies at the University of Minnesota, MN.

Muriel enjoyed her time as an AVON representative for over 20 years, where she was awarded presidential top sales. For many decades, she devoted much of her time as a CRTC member and elected treasurer, as well as a Massachusetts GOP convention representative.

Muriel leaves her son Launcelot M. McGrann of Chelmsford, and Sean McGrann of Framingham.

Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, from 4 7 pm in the Blake Chelmsford Funeral Home, 24 Worthen St., Chelmsford. Her funeral service and interment will be held privately. Memorial donations may be made in her honor to Chelmsfords Women of Today at www.cwotma.org.
