Nicholas C. Lehouillier Obituary (1992

Nicholas C. Lehouillier, 31, a longtime resident of Lowell, passed away unexpectedly, peacefully in his sleep, on Saturday, December 23, 2023, at his home. He was born in Lowell on March 14, 1992, and was the son of Kevin M. Lehouillier of Pepperell, MA, and Michelle J. McCreedy of Salem, NH. Nicholas moved to Pepperell early and attended the Pepperell public schools for most of his education, finishing his high school studies in Harvard and then Westford. Nick would go on to attend college at Middlesex Community College. He was especially proud of his high grades earned in psychology, mathematics, and astronomy. Nick worked in various jobs as well as his fathers flooring business, Colonial Floor Service of Pepperell. As a younger brother, Nick had a sharp wit and exceptional ability to examine and rationalize any given circumstance, to the ire of his older siblings. His uncanny ability to logically argue for an idea or view was impressive and, at times, infuriatingbut only because his older brothers couldnt find a better argument. One of his all-time favorite things to do as a child was to spend time in the water. If he could be swimming, hed be the first one in, last one out, and take the fewest breaks. Later on, his passion became landbound as inspiration struck from observing boxing legends such as Sugar Ray Leonard, Muhammad Ali, and of course his relative, Irish Mickey Ward. He would put his analytical mind to work studying the greats in tandem with his training within the field, detailing the strengths of those who inspired him and the intensity of training that was required. His passion for any given interest was palpable and inspiring because when he dove into a subject, he dove deep. Nick had a quick smile and hearty laugh, was well-liked by his many early childhood friends, and was known to have an extraordinarily kind heart. Nick loved his German Shepherds, Bonnie and Cassie, and later his calico cat Milky Way, who was his constant companion. Nick had many interests which included watching comedians, all things related to South Park, playing video games, good food, being in the company of family and friends, engaging in outdoor activities, board games, travel, theater, nature, wildlife, a nice cigar, the architecture of Frank Lloyd Wright, the satire of John Oliver and others, movies, amusement parks, a wide variety of music, and zoos. He enjoyed participating in and watching sports of all kinds, but the Patriots held a special place in his heart. In addition to his loving parents, Nicholas leaves two older brothers; Eric Lehouillier of Trondheim, Norway, and Steven Lehouillier of Wilton, NH. He also leaves his mothers partner and his son, aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is missed dearly by his sister-in-law, Ingvild Saksvik-Lehouillier, and his nephews and niece; Leovind S. Lehouillier, Logan S. Lehouillier and Lyra S. Lehouillier. They remember him as a loving and warm uncle who wanted nothing more than to make them laugh and play with them. In addition, the entirety of the Norwegian extended family sends their condolences. He is also dearly missed by another sister-in-law, Heather Lehouillier, and his nephews; Jayden Lehouillier, Emrick Lehouillier, Michael Thorn, Xander Collins, and Timothy Hannigan. They have many fond memories of playing with their uncle and enjoying his expertise as a video gamer during online gaming sessions. Nick was the fun, energetic, young uncle who was always happy to play pretend with them or any other games they could conjure up for him to join in. Sadly, he was predeceased by his paternal grandparents John F. and Phyllis R. Greenhalge of Lowell, and his maternal grandparents Herman C. and Donna M. McCreedy of Lowell, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, January 4, 2024, from 4 pm to 7 pm at the Blake Chelmsford Funeral Home, 24 Worthen St., Chelmsford. Nicks Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 5, at noon at St. Margaret of Scotland Parish, 374 Stevens St., Lowell. KINDLY GATHER AT THE CHURCH. Interment will be held privately. A celebration of life will be held directly after the Mass.
