Nina Claire Warren

–

Chelmsford, Massachusetts

Nina Claire (Woodbury) Warren, age 68, a longtime resident of Chelmsford, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of William J. Warren with whom she enjoyed 39 years of marriage.

She was born in Lynn on December 31, 1957, and was the daughter of the late Clarence and Lillian (King) Woodbury. After the untimely passing of her mother, Nina stepped into a matriarchal role, becoming a steady source of strength and care for her father and two siblings.

Nina lived a life defined by thoughtfulness and dependability. A graduate of Lynn English High School, Nina continued her education earning a degree in mathematics from Salem State College, laying the groundwork for a long and fulfilling career.

After early work at the office of John S. Martin Co., Nina spent more than 40 years as a radar analyst at MIT Lincoln Laboratory, where attention to detail, hard work and dedication were hallmarks of her work. She generously shared these skills and her time towards scouting and other organizations in support of her children.

Outside her career, Nina found joy in many things. Sewing, Pilates, dance, and reading were favorite pastimes, along with a fascination for kaleidoscopes. Simple pleasures, like coffee with friends and quality time with family, were always cherished. She always looked forward to yearly vacations to Martha’s Vineyard and Aruba with family and close friends. Becoming “Nana” and caring for her granddaughter, Naomi, became the highlight of her life. Nina was overjoyed to recently spend six months living with Naomi and spending time with her 24/7.

In addition to her loving husband, Nina is survived by her son, Billy Warren, and his wife, Bilysse Buitrago, of Watertown; her daughter, Jenna Warren, and her husband, Dor Rubin, of Waltham; her granddaughter, Naomi Rubin; her sister, Karin O’Brien, and her husband, Mike O’Brien; her brother, Alan Woodbury, and his wife, Nancy Slager; and many nieces and nephews.

Nina will be remembered for a life well lived and the many ways she touched those around her.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday, March 20, 2026, from 4pm to 7pm at the BLAKE CHELMSFORD FUNERAL HOME, 24 Worthen Street, CHELMSFORD. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, March 21, 2026 at 11am at St. John the Evangelist parish, NORTH CHELMSFORD. KINDLY MEET AT THE CHURCH.
