Noemi M. 'Amy' Singer Obituary (1928 - 2018)

Noemi "Amy"Valentina (Mello) Singer, age 90, passed away on Saturday, July 14th. She was the wife of the late Paul Singer. Born in Montevideo, Uruguay on May 7, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Roberto and Maria (Novellino) Mello. Amy came to the United States in the early 1950's with her two daughters and eventually settled in Denver, CO. She then moved to California with her husband Paul Singer, where she resided for over 50 years. In 2015, Amy moved east to Littleton, MA. Amy worked for many years as an administrative assistant in a variety of office settings including doctors' offices and the California State University. Along with being an accomplished pianist during her younger years, Amy was a member of the Red Hat Society and a volunteer at the Children's Hospital of Orange County. She loved living in Southern California and took great pride in her rose garden. As a season pass holder, Amy spent much time in DisneyLand with family and friends. She enjoyed her politics and world wide travel. Amy is survived by her daughter Leorah Singer of Maryland, step-daughter Rina Delmonico of Florida, 12 grandchildren, and 45 great grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Laila Rains and grandmother of the late Sean Rains. The family will be holding a private memorial service.
