Patricia M. Heslin Obituary (1936 - 2015)

CHELMSFORD Patricia M. (Devlin) Heslin, age 79, a longtime resident of Chelmsford died Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at Lowell General Hospital following a brief illness. She was the beloved wife of Richard T. Heslin, to whom she was married for 53 years. She was born in Waltham on January 14, 1936, and was a daughter of the late Edward E. and Marjorie (Doherty) Devlin. She received her education in Waltham schools and was a graduate of Waltham High School, class of 1953. She earned a bachelors degree in education from Framingham State College. Pat spent most her of life tending to the needs of her family and home. Earlier in life she was a 5th grade teacher at the Crosby School in Arlington. She was also a pre-school teacher at The Central Co-Operative Nursery School in Chelmsford most recently. She was a parishioner of St. Michael Church in Lowell and she was a member of the Chelmsford Senior Center, where she enjoyed attending their monthly dances with her husband. Pat enjoyed cooking, gardening, sewing clothes for herself and her family, decorating her home, and dancing with her husband. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Richard E. Heslin and his wife Sonja of Wareham; two daughters, Kathleen M. Kelly of San Juan, Puerto Rico, and Elizabeth A. Boisvert of Boston; seven grandchildren, Lily, Caden, Emily, Sage, Cullen, Brittany, and Alexandria; two sisters, Barbara Quental of Arlington and Marjorie Berger and her husband Robert of San Francisco, CA; and several nieces and nephews. She was also the mother of the late Michael R. Heslin. Visitation will be held at the BLAKE FUNERAL HOME, 24 Worthen Street, CHELMSFORD on Sunday from 1 to 5 pm. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary Church in Chelmsford on Monday at 11 oclock. Interment in Pine Ridge Cemetery in Chelmsford.
