Phyllis E LaFlamme Obituary (1924 - 2018)

LOWELL - Phyllis E. (Sturtevant) LaFlamme, a lifelong resident of Lowell and resident of Sunny Acres Nursing Home for the past two years, passed away on Monday, February 12, 2018 at Lowell General Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Charles J. LaFlamme, Jr. to whom she was married for 61 years until his passing in 2006. She was born in Lowell on August 18, 1924 and was a daughter of the late Albert and Beulah (Bearse) Sturtevant. Phyllis loved her cats and spending time at the ocean. She is survived by a son and his wife, Charles J. and Kathleen E. (Murphy) LaFlamme of Chelmsford, a daughter and her husband Pamela E. and William F. Curran of Chelmsford, four grandchildren and their spouses; Krista C. and Scott P. Bracci of Stow, Tracey L. and Joseph Germain of Roslindale, Keith W. and Patricia Curran of Stow, and Kenneth P. and Shaina E. LaFlamme of Medford, six great-grandchildren; Hayley, Norah, Jeremy, Averi, Amira and Mattea and her longtime friend and sister-in-law Doris LaFlamme. Phyllis was predeceased by her siblings Albert Sturtevant, Peachie Chevalier and Kenneth Sturtevant. Funeral services were held privately followed by burial in Heart Pond Cemetery, Chelmsford. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Phyllis' memory may be made to Sunny Acres Nursing Home Activity Fund, 254 Billerica Road, Chelmsford, MA 01824 or the MSPCA at Nevins Farm, 400 Broadway, Methuen, MA 01844.
