Raymond E. Mercier III Obituary (1958 - 2013)

Raymond E. Mercier III, age 54, passed away suddenly on Sunday, March 31, 2013 at his home in Litchfield, NH. Ray was born in Lowell, MA on April 3, 1958. He was the son of Raymond E. Mercier Jr. of Bradenton, FL and the late Marilyn (Armstrong) Mercier. He was a long time employee of Raytheon Corporation, most recently as a Logistics Asset Manager. He loved long rides with great music blaring and adventures and antics with his lifelong friends. His family and friends meant the world to him and he will be missed by many. He grew up and attended school in Chelmsford. He is survived by his former wife Maryanne (Richards) Mercier and their three children Alison Rae, Bridget Elaine and Benjamin Michael Mercier. He adored them with all of his heart. He is also survived by his four sisters and their husbands, Lynn and Chuck Marcella of Chelmsford, MA; Sue and Tom Pitera of Sarasota, FL; Roberta and Steve Abodeely of Nashua, NH and Lisa and Peter Lynch of Haverhill, MA and many loving nieces and nephews. In addition he is survived by many cousins and his aunts and uncles, Margaret and Jack McAnespie of Lowell, MA; Arlene and Roger Trottier of Sarasota, FL and Paul and Elaine Mercier of Sarasota, FL. He was predeceased by a special uncle, Bob Armstrong of Chelmsford, MA. Private services were held for Rays family. Donations can be made in Rays memory to a fund that was set up for his cousin, Jack Trottier, age 17, who is currently fighting to recover from paralysis sustained in a snowboarding accident.
