Richard F. "Dick" Bachini Obituary (1930

Richard F. Bachini, 94, a longtime resident of Chelmsford, passed away peacefully at Brightview Concord River on January 6, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Gail E. Bachini with whom he enjoyed 57 years of marriage. He was born in Winthrop, MA on April 10, 1930 and was the son of the late Dante and Teresa Bachini. Dick graduated from Bentley University and Boston College. He met Gail and began their life together, raising 3 children. He worked at HP Hood and WR Grace where he was a Financial Controller. Dick was a devoted father and grandfather known for his kindness and generosity. He had an amazing memory and enjoyed phone calls and visits sharing stories with family and friends. Dick enjoyed singing, was part of a choir, and was often heard singing around the house. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, volunteered at the Lowell Food Pantry, and was a Eucharistic Minister. Dick is survived by his daughter Melissa Bachini Quattrocchi of Groton; his son Richard Bachini and his wife Andrea of Shrewsbury; four devoted grandchildren Alexander, Nicholas, Jackson, and Samuel. He is also survived by many amazing nieces and nephews. Dick was preceded in death by his wife Gail E. Bachini and his daughter Laura J. Bachini of Tewksbury. He was the youngest of seven and was preceded in death by Maria, David, Enrico, Leo, Joseph, and Charles. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, January 9, 2025 from 5pm to 7pm at the BLAKE CHELMSFORD FUNERAL HOME, 24 Worthen Street, CHELMSFORD. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 10, 2025 at 11am at St. Mary Parish, 25 North Road, Chelmsford. KINDLY GATHER AT THE CHURCH. Interment will follow in Heart Pond Cemetery, Chelmsford. Memorial donations may be made in Richards memory to Dana Farber Cancer Institute and Alzheimers Association.
