Richard 'Dick' F. McCaffrey Obituary (1935

CHELMSFORD Richard F. Dick McCaffrey, 77, of Chelmsford died peacefully January 8, 2013 at his home. He was the beloved husband of Mary (Moynihan) McCaffrey, with whom he celebrated his 50th wedding anniversary in August. Dick served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korea War. Prior to his retirement in 2011, he was a mathematics teacher for 50 years for Chelmsford High School, UMASS Lowell, and Middlesex Community College. He was the dear father of Kate McCaffrey of Westford, Michael McCaffrey of San Francisco, CA, and Anne (McCaffrey) Mahoney of Melrose; devoted grandfather of Miles and Jack Mahoney; loving brother of Jean Callahan of Ogunquit, ME, Judy Casserly of Chelmsford, and Ruth (Bourk) Boyle of Pelham, NH; dear son-in-law of Margaret Moynihan of Haverhill, and brother-in-law of Peg Moynihan of Methuen, Richard Moynihan of Ackworth, GA and Frank Casserly of Chelmsford. Dick is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends. Visiting hours will be held at the BLAKE FUNERAL HOME, 24 Worthen St., CHELMSFORD on Friday from 4 until 8 pm. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 9 oclock at St. Mary Church, 25 North Rd., Chelmsford. PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH. Interment will be private.
