Robert S. Veinot

Age 87, of Chelmsford and formerly of Somerville died Feb. 19th. Husband of the late Alice F. (Desmarais) Veinot. Born in Somerville and son of the late John S. and Beatrice (Schnare) Veinot.

Veteran of World War II, serving in the United States Army Air Corps. He began his 29 year career with the S.S. Kresge Company at their store in Porter Square in Cambridge and continued with the company when it became Kmart as assistant manager of their Somerville and then Saugus stores. He later went on to work for MITRE Corp. in Bedford.

Survived by four children, Richard Trindall on Sandford, ME, Paul Trindall and his wife Norma of Belmont, NH, Wayne Trindall and his wife Diane of Chelmsford, and Cheryl OBrien and her husband James of Lynn; ten grandchildren, one great grandchild, two sisters Barbara Fleurent of Somerville and Marjorie Parker of Acton; and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his son, Kenneth Trindall, Sr. and sisters, Marguerite Broadbent and Katherine Goodland.

Visitation will be held at the Blake Funeral Home, 24 Worthen St., Chelmsford on Thurs. from 4 to 8PM.

Funeral on Fri. at 9am at St. Mary Church, 25 North Rd., Chelmsford. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his name to Dana Farber Cancer Institute, 44 Binney St., Boston, MA 02115.
