Sing C. 'Eddie' Chin Obituary (1929 - 2016)

Sing Eddie C. Chin of Chelmsford, age 86, passed away on Sunday March 13, 2016 at Lowell General Hospital. He was the loving husband of Fay Ginny G. Chin. Born in Lewiston Maine on May 1, 1929, he was a son of the late Thomas and Mary Feng See Chin. Eddie was a graduate of Fitchburg State College and was employed by Raytheon in Waltham as an electrical engineer for 39 years until his retirement in 1990. He was a motorcycle enthusiast and loved taking drives with his bride. A true outdoorsman, Eddie loved hiking, camping, boating, and swimming in the ocean. He was a music lover, especially the genres of country and classical. Eddie found great enjoyment in being a ham radio operator. In addition to his wife Ginny, survivors include his children, Theresa Terri Mary SooHoo of North Billerica, Beverly Ann White of North Chelmsford, Alex Sing Chin of Chelmsford and Eric Sing Chin of Colorado Springs, CO; two grandchildren, Ariana White and Perry SooHoo; his siblings, Bessie Perkins of Gorham, ME, Annie Bombard of Cambridge, Sing Jimmy C. Chin, Jr. of Stanton, CA; two sisters-in-law Julie Lee of Queens, NY and Mary P. Yee and her husband Paul of Philadelphia, PA. He was the brother of the late Lily Tu and Edward Sing Chin. Relatives and friends are invited to his memorial visitation to be held on Wednesday March 16, 2016 from 5 until 8 PM in the BLAKE FUNERAL HOME, 24 Worthen Street, Chelmsford. His Memorial Funeral Service will be held on Thursday morning at 11 AM in the Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Pine Ridge Cemetery.
