Solanghe "Sol" Aguirre Obituary (1949

Solanghe Sol Aguirre, age 74, a resident of Chelmsford, formerly of Somerville, passed away peacefully at Lowell General Hospital on Thursday, February 15, 2024 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Santa Cruz, Bolivia on December 5, 1949 and immigrated to the United States in 1970, where she became a proud American citizen. She was the daughter of Blanca (Zapata) Noriega and the late Carlos Bejarano of Bolivia, and loving sister to Ruth Nobrega of Marblehead, MA, and Carlos (Ronny) Bejarano of Santa Cruz, Bolivia. She prioritized family and was an incredible selfless mother, who is survived by her three daughters, Patricia Cameron and her husband Brian of Manchester, NH, Michelle Tierney and her longtime partner Mark McClellan of Middleton, MA, and Jessica LaRoche and her husband Jonathan of Chelmsford; her 8 grandchildren, Daniel Bouchard, Mackenzie Huntley, Marissa Cameron, Alexa Cameron, Ava Cameron, Patrick Tierney, Tye LaRoche and Jaxson LaRoche; her 3 great grandchildren, Landon Miller, Addison Huntley, and Victoria Sol Huntley; as well as several beloved nieces and nephews, including her late niece Sandra Rocha. In her early years, Sol volunteered for many organizations, including Shriners Childrens Hospital, where she fostered many out-of-country families while their children were being treated, alongside her former husband and continued lifelong friend, Ray Aguirre. She was a breast cancer survivor, nature lover, coffee lover, big fan of Elvis Presley, and in her spare time, enjoyed playing bingo. Her kind and loving heart will be truly missed. Visiting hours will be held on Monday, February 19, 2024 from 4pm to 7pm at the Blake Chelmsford Funeral Home, 24 Worthen St., Chelmsford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday at 11am at St. Mary Parish, 25 North Rd., Chelmsford. KINDLY GATHER AT THE CHURCH. A gathering for immediate family will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Sols memory to the American Lung Association or plant a tree in her honor.
