Sophy K. Poisson Obituary (1979

Sophy K. (Kim) Poisson, 45, a resident of Chelmsford, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 1, 2024, at the Sawtelle Family Hospice House in Reading, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Adam D. Poisson with whom she shared over 15 years of marriage. She was born in Cambodia on September 2, 1979, and was the daughter of Soben (Yien) Kim and the late Visoth Kim. Sophy spent most of her early life in Lawrence, where she graduated from Lawrence High School. She earned a bachelors degree in economics from Mount Holyoke College and later an MBA from Southern New Hampshire University. She spent most of her career in the field of Revenue Accounting and most recently worked at Amwell Corp. as the Lead Revenue Accountant. Sophys greatest love in life was her family and her sons, Trevor and Wyatt. Sophy loved being a mom and loved supporting the interests of her boys. She was an enthusiastic sports mom and could be found at every game and practice cheering them on. Sophy had a green thumb and loved to grow a variety of plants but enjoyed her beautiful flower gardens the most. In addition to her loving husband and mother, Sophy leaves her sons, Trevor and Wyatt Poisson; her grandfather, Tun Dang; her brothers, Somphearak Kim, Michael Kim and Somurphy Kim; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Donald and Priscilla Poisson; as well as many nieces, nephews and a vast network of dear friends. In addition to her father, Sophy was predeceased by her grandmother Kim Horn. Sophys family would like to thank the staff at Sawtelle Family Hospice House for their excellent care.
