Stasia Rose Lyons Obituary (1922 - 2018) - Chelmsford, Massachusetts

CHELMSFORD - Stasia Rose (Oczkowski) Lyons, 95, a lifelong resident of Chelmsford, passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, June 19, 2018. She was born in Chelmsford on October 28, 1922 and was a daughter of the late Peter and Ludwika (Kapalka) Oczkowski. Stasia graduated from Chelmsford High School in 1940 and subsequently earned an Associates degree from Bradshaw Business College. Before retiring in 1994, she was employed by Wang Laboratories for 27 years, receiving special acknowledgement from Dr. Wang for her assistance in the publication of his autobiography "Lessons". A lifelong communicant of St. Mary Parish, she was a woman of great faith and strength and a devoted mother and grandmother who treasured time spent with her loving family. Stasia especially enjoyed gardening and cooking. She had a generous heart and will be deeply missed by her family. Stasia is survived by her children and their spouses, Arthur and Kathy Lyons of Marion, Barry and Faye Lyons of Lowell, Christopher and Ellen Lyons of Tyngsboro and Dianne Lyons of Chelmsford; ten grandchildren, Ben, Sam, Josh, Sarah, Stephen, Joe, Lauren, Becca, Jake and Christopher; two great-grandchildren, Kaleigh Rose and Madilyn Ruth as well as many nieces and nephews. She was the wife of the late Arthur L. Lyons, Jr. and the sister of the late Stanley Oczkowski, Stella Michalowski and Victoria Vaipan. Visitation will be held on Monday, June 25 from 4:00 to7:00 pm at the Blake Chelmsford Funeral Home, 24 Worthen St., Chelmsford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 11 o'clock at St. Mary Parish, 25 North Rd., Chelmsford. KINDLY MEET AT CHURCH. Interment in Holy Trinity Cemetery, 155 Boston Rd., LOWELL.
