Terrence James Deignan

Chelmsford, MA

CHELMSFORD - Terrence James Deignan Sr., 58, resident of Chelmsford, passed away on the morning of April 13, 2015. He was the beloved husband of Susan J. (Britton) Deignan to whom he was married for 32 years.

Terry was born in Lowell on December 18, 1956, one of six children to Louise Cannon Deignan, and the late William Joseph Deignan who passed in 1996. He attended Lowell public schools and was class president in the 8th grade, an accomplishment he was proud of and frequently reminded his family and friends of.

Terry was introduced to several of his closest friends through his most recent job of nearly 10 years at Huhtala Oil Company in East Templeton, and his previous employment at Sterling, Rent-A-Crate, and Poland Springs. He was a loving and loyal friend, and maintained many of these close relationships throughout the years.

Terry was an avid fan of New England sports teams, and loved the time he spent attending Bruins games with his sons and friends. He loved to cook and spend time with his friends and family, who meant the world to him. Terry was best known for his contagious personality; he had the ability to fill a room with laughter the minute he walked in. Some of his favorite memories were spent with family and friends at Harveys Lake in VT and Long Lake in Maine, boating, fishing, and entertaining with stories around the campfire.

In addition to his wife, Terry is survived by his three children, TJ, Colleen, and Michael. He also leaves behind his mother, Louise Deignan of St. Johnsbury, VT, his two brothers William Deignan and his wife Linda of Tewksbury, and Timothy Deignan and his wife Virginia of Tyngsboro, and two sisters, Jayne Willman and her husband Scott of West Barnet, VT, and Katie Beausoleil and her husband Steve of St. Johnsbury, VT. Terry was also predeceased in 2003 by his sister Mary Lou Deignan. He will be missed by his mother and father-in-law Francis and Jacqueline Britton, and his many brothers and sisters-in-law as well as many nieces and nephews. Terry also leaves behind his lifelong best friend Steve Tardy Tardiff.

It being his wish, there will be no visitation. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at Holy Family Parish, 75 Chamberlain Street., Lowell on Saturday at 10 oclock for a Mass of Christian Burial.

Interment will be private.
