Theresa Marie Finnegan Obituary (1931 - 2018)

Theresa M. (Murphy) Finnegan, 86, a resident of Nashua, NH and former longtime resident of the Highlands section of Lowell, passed away peacefully on Saturday January 27, 2018, at her home. She was the beloved wife of the late William J. Finnegan, Jr. with whom she had shared 61 years of marriage. She was born in Lowell on April 8, 1931 and was the daughter of the late Christopher and Louise (Haas) Murphy. Prior to her retirement, Theresa had been employed for many years as an Executive Secretary for Wang Labs. Following retirement, she worked for Filene's in the Human Resource Department, training many of the new employees that came to work there. It was a job she really enjoyed. Theresa was an avid golfer and enjoyed line dancing. She also loved to travel with her husband. They especially enjoyed spending winters in Siesta Key in Florida. Theresa was a loyal and dedicated friend to many and will be sadly missed by all. Theresa is survived by her loving children; Kathleen (Finnegan) Drolet and her husband Kevin of Belgrade, ME, Kevin Finnegan of Nashua, and Karen (Finnegan) Underwood and her husband Kenneth of Westford; and four grandchildren; Dr. Brian Drolet, Elizabeth Drolet, Christopher Underwood, and Jordan Underwood. The Finnegan family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Theresa's neighbors and friends for their kind and supportive friendship. Visitation will be held on Wednesday January 31, 2018 from 4 until 8 PM in the BLAKE CHELMSFORD FUNERAL HOME, 24 Worthen Street, CHELMSFORD. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday Morning at 10 AM in St. Margaret Church, 374 Stevens Street, Lowell, MA 01851. KINDLY MEET AT CHURCH. Interment will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery, Lowell.
