Zareh S. Chutchian Obituary (1928

Zareh S. Chutchian, 81, a longtime Chelmsford resident, passed away Saturday, January 16, 2010. He was the beloved husband of Diana (Nalbandian) Chutchian who survives him and resides in Chelmsford. He was born July 23, 1928 in Brighton, son of the late Sarkis and Nuver (Yeramian) Chutchian. Zareh was a graduate of Northeastern University in Boston. He served in the U.S. Army with the 511th parachute infantry regiment during the occupation of Japan. Prior to his retirement, Zareh was an engineer in the semiconductor industry. He was a member of the 495th R/C Squadron model airplane club in Tewksbury. In addition to his wife he is survived by four children; Suzanne Chutchian-O'Sullivan of Southborough, Kenneth Zareh Chutchian and his wife Carol of Harpswell, ME, Donna C. Kavanagh and her husband Andrew Norander of Lowell, and Joyce Chutchian-Ferranti and her husband David of Concord, seven grandchildren; Maria, Nuala, Jack, Eric, Rachel, Marcus, and Anthony, and a sister; Gladys Chakoian of Medford. He was also the brother of the late Zaven S. Chutchian. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday from 5 to 8 pm at the BLAKE FUNERAL HOME, 24 Worthen St., Chelmsford. His funeral will take place from the funeral home on Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock, followed by a Funeral Service at 11 o'clock at Sts. Vartanantz Armenian Church 180 Old Westford Rd., Chelmsford. Interment in Pine Ridge Cemetery, Chelmsford. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Zareh's name to at Sts. Vartanantz Armenian Church 180 Old Westford Rd., Chelmsford, MA 01824, or to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
