Zbigniew Butkiewicz

Zbigniew Zbyszek Butkiewicz of Chelmsford, passed away on May 6, 2024, at the age of 45.

Zbigniew was born in Suwalki, Poland on December 10, 1978, and moved to Chelmsford in 1988 along with his family to escape communist Poland.

Zbigniew, or "Z" as many friends called him, was a graduate of Chelmsford High School, class of 1997. He had a lifelong passion for cars and went on to work in the automotive industry in various roles for many years, and always had a project he was working on at home. He loved music, especially 90s music, dogs, and traveling back to Poland to visit family.

A beloved daddy, son, brother, and friend, he will be remembered for his kind heart, his sarcastic sense of humor, and his giving nature, helping anyone who needed it without question.

Zbigniew is survived by his 13-year-old daughter, Maya Butkiewicz of Ayer, the light of his life; his parents, Janusz and Henryka Butkiewicz of Chelmsford; his sister and brother-in-law, Joanna and Christopher Lysy of Chelmsford; his sister and brother-in-law, Monika and Peter Neff of Corpus Christi, TX; and his nephew and niece, Jason Lysy of Chelmsford and Maple Neff of Corpus Christi, TX.

Please join us for services to honor his life. Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2024, from 2pm-5pm at the Blake Chelmsford Funeral Home, 24 Worthen St., Chelmsford. His Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at 11am at Saint Mary Parish, 25 North Rd., Chelmsford. Interment to follow at Pine Ridge Cemetery in Chelmsford.
