Arthur D.  Santry
CHELMSFORD - Arthur D. Santry, 64, a longtime resident of Chelmsford, died suddenly Monday, April 18th at Saints Medical Center in Lowell. He was the beloved husband of Kathleen A. (Mayott) Santry, to whom he was married for 41 years.
He was born in Lowell on October 17, 1946, and was a son of the late Charles E. Santry, Sr., and Emma (MacPhail) Santry. He received his education in Lowell schools and was a graduate of Lowell High School.
Arthur served his country in Battery B, 6th Battalion, 11th Artillery, 11th Infantry Division of the United States Army during the Vietnam War.
He was employed as a pressman for over 25 years by Courier Citizen in Lowell. Most recently, he was employed for 6 years by The Nashua Telegraph.
Arthur was a longtime friend of Bill W and some of his greatest accomplishments in life were helping others achieve their sobriety.
He loved classic cars, especially the '55 Chevy. He also enjoyed spending time with his friends at the Lowell VA.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his two children, Shelagh Donahue and her husband Mike of Norwell and Peter Santry of Billerica; a brother, Charles E. Santry, Jr., of Revere; and several nieces, nephews, and close friends.
His visitation will be held at the BLAKE FUNERAL HOME, 24 Worthen Street, CHELMSFORD, on Wednesday from 4 until 8pm. His Funeral Service will be held on Thursday at 10 o'clock at St. Mary Church, 25 North Rd., Chelmsford. Interment in St. Joseph Cemetery, Chelmsford. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to Paralyzed Veterans of America, 7 Mill Brook Rd. Wilton, NH 03086.
