Condolence From: CAROL HOUPT OZOLINS
Condolence: DEAR KATHY AND FAMILY, I WAS SADDENED TO HEAR OF THE PASSING OF YOUR WONDERFUL MOTHER. BEA WAS MY VOICE TEACHER IN OAKWOOD IN THE 1960'S. SHE, ALONG WITH FRED WALKER WERE INSTRUMENTAL IN ENCOURAGING ME TO MAJOR IN MUSIC AT BALDWIN-WALLACE COLLEGE. IN MAJORED IN OBOE AND LATER CHANGED TO A VOICE MAJOR AND RECEIVED MY DEGREE IN MUSIC EDUCATION. I REMEMBER YOUR MOTHER SO FONDLY BECAUSE OF HER WONDERFUL TEACHING AND ENCOURAGEMENT ABOUT IMPROVING MY EDUCATION. I STILL REMEMBER THE MUSIC TO LOVLIEST OF TREES. NOW AT AGE 65 I AM NEAR MY THREE SCORE YEARS AND TEN AND LOOK BACK AT THE WONDERFUL MENTORS AND TEACHERS WE HAD AT OAKWOOD WHO HELPED TO MOLD OUR LIVES. MY PARENTS ALSO HAD MUSIC DEGREES AND GRADUATED FROM DRAKE UNIVERSITY. I LOST MY WONDERFUL MOTHER AT AGE 97, THREE YEARS AGO. WE TRULY HAVE BEEN BLESSED TO HAVE BEEN TAUGHT TO LOVE THE ARTS AND TO LOVE GOD. WHAT A WONDERFUL WORLD THEY BROUGHT TO US. AGAIN KATHY AND FAMILY MY DEEPEST SYMPATHY TO YOU. YOUR MOTHER WAS THE CREME OF THE CREME. GOD BLESS YOU. FONDLY, CAROL HOUPT OZOLINS

Condolence From: John Schuder
Condolence: Bea took a chance on hiring as the organist at St. Paul's Church
a young college student who flourished under her wise and kind
tutelage. In large part due to her influence, patience and example, I went on to enjoy a very productive and satisfying career as a church musician in New York City and Westchester County, NY, and I continue in that capacity to this day in Columbus, Ohio. Bea added immeasurably to the formation of my abilities as a church musican
and my character as a person. I learned so much from her, infor-
mation that I apply to this day and have passed on in turn to many
students. Her rich legacy continues!

Condolence From: Debby and Jon
Condolence: Bea's grace and love for her Lord will stay and surround her forever. Jon and I sang under Bea's direction here in Plymouth many years ago, and we still sing in a church choir. She loved her daughter, son-in-law and grandchildren immensely.Who she is lives in them and will be passed on to the great grandchildren!!! I know her family will miss her, and her new journey will be just as exciting!

Condolence From: Pam Gridley McGinnis
Condolence: No one had a more profound impact on my life that Mrs. Iams. She is why I have continued to sing in church choirs my entire life. She not only taught me the love of music but also a sense of commitment to music and the liturgy. She taught me discipline and I've carried it with me for more than 45 years. She truly lives on in many of us who had the privilege of singing under her at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Dayton.
