Paul F.  Jopling
ACTON-Paul F. Jopling, 82, a longtime resident of Acton, recently of Summer Place in Chelmsford, passed away on Sunday, May 6, 2012 at Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington. He was predeceased by his longtime companion and the love of his life, Krystyna Peszke, who died in 2010.

He was born in Plymouth, MA on May 24, 1929 and was a son of the late Eugene J. and Sadie M. (Wilson) Jopling.

Paul was an engineer, having worked for over 15 years for MIT Lincoln Laboratories, and for many years at Stone & Webster, as well as Digital Equipment Corporation, and Hewlett Packard. He was also an author, having published two historical mystery novels. Some of his favorite hobbies were writing, snorkeling, traveling, hiking, cross-country skiing, and fishing.

Paul is survived by his children; Kathleen W. Wade and her husband David of Pepperell, MA, Daniel P. Jopling and his wife Dianne of Pepperell, and Tamala M. Sa and her husband Jeffrey of Chelmsford, Krystyna’s daughter Myszka Watts and her husband David of Lunenburg, 7 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren, and a brother Ollie Jopling of Portland, OR.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday, May 11th from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the BLAKE FUNERAL HOME, 24 Worthen St., CHELMSFORD. Funeral services will be private.
