Obituary for Ann Islami (Athens)
CHELMSFORD – Ann (Athens) Islami, 73, a longtime resident of Chelmsford and former resident of Swampscott passed away peacefully on September 11, 2014 at the Life Care Center of Acton. She was the beloved wife of the late Andrew T. Islami who passed away on December 29, 2010.
She was born in Lynn on August 10, 1941 a daughter of the late Christopher and Dorothy (Keohes) Athens. She attended schools in Lynn and was a graduate of Lynn High School. Ann enjoyed listening to Greek radio and receiving fresh flowers from her family.
Ann is survived by her two children, James Islami and his wife Maria of Malden and Dorothy Whiting and her husband Donald of Chelmsford and five grandchildren, Daniel Whiting, Tia Islami, Ashley Whiting, Maya Islami and Michael Whiting.
It being her wish, there will be no visitation. A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2014 at 12 noon at Pine Ridge Cemetery, 130 Billerica Rd. Chelmsford. For those who wish, memorial contributions in Ann’s memory can be made to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen St. Framingham, MA 01701
