Obituary for Carol A. Thorburn (Medeiros)
HAMPTON, NH- Carol A. (Medeiros) Thorburn,73 of Hampton, NH and former longtime resident of Chelmsford passed away on Friday, May 22, 2015. She was the beloved wife of Bruce A. Thorburn to whom she was married for 50 years.
She was born in Cambridge, MA on May 2, 1942, a daughter of the late Edward and Doris (Taylor) Medeiros. Carol attended schools in Cambridge, and Boston she went on to become a surgical dental assistant. Along with being a devoted mother, she also worked part time in cosmetic sales.
Carol loved animals, she was always happy to give them a good home and very devoted to her pets. She also enjoyed sewing and making clothes for her family, flowers and going to the ocean. She and Bruce enjoyed vacationing together, she was especially fond of San Francisco and Hawaii.
In addition to her husband, Carol leaves two daughters, Jennifer Thorburn of Chelmsford, MA and Kimberly Bohenko and her husband Mark of Westford, MA; five grandchildren, Gannon, TessLily, Quentin, Sophia and Alexandra; a brother, Edward J. Medeiros Jr. of Arlington, MA and many special friends in Chelmsford.
Visiting hours will be Wednesday evening from 4 to 7 pm at the BLAKE FUNERAL HOME, 24 Worthen St. CHELMSFORD. Interment will be private.
