Condolence: So sad to hear the news of Mr. Gilroy's passing. My deepest sympathies to you Mrs. Gilroy, Christine, Michael, Kathleen and your families. I remember him so fondly and always thought of him as such a kind man. It didn't surprise me to read what an amazing, highly regarded, accomplished and loved man he was all these years. You were all blessed to have him in your life.

My thoughts lie with all of you in this difficult time and may you find peace in the many, many wonderful memories you have.

Condolence: Evelyn and I send our sympathies and our prayers to Ellie and the entire Gilroy family.

Tom's voice continues to echo in our minds. His presence will be with us for a very, very long time. He was a friend, a kindred spirit in many ways. He was passionate and dedicated to his family with unbounded love for his wife Ellie and his children and grandchildren.

He lived what he loved. Patriotism, honesty, frugality, conservative values, service to others, volunteerism, commitment, the work ethic, helpfulness, mentoring, coaching, and certainly speaking his mind on local and national issues.

Life was anything but a spectator sport for Tom. He was on the playing field every day, doing anything he could to make his home and country a better place than when he found it. He shared that simple thought more than once with me and others. Tom also said "lead by example". He did that. That is why he will be greatly missed.

His contributions to Chelmsford are there for all to see. He was a good and faithful steward. I could always count on Tom for a laugh and a well thought out opinion on issues. He was more than willing to share and we were all anxious to hear what he was thinking. Our friend Tom gave us his greatest gift, his time and dedication. There is only so much of that that we have to give and he worked extraordinary hard to give it his all. He succeeded, and now he can rest.

Condolence: My rock, compass, trusted advisor, friend, travel companion and most preciously ... my Dad. Finding comfort in the fact he lived a BIG action packed life on his own terms always and left a vibrant legacy for our family to cherish. It is simply remarkable to see your own Father through an entirely different lens after his passing, through the amazing stories shared by family, friends, colleagues, total strangers as well as respected home town officials. A loyal Patriot always... Feeling thankful that I always shared with him how much I LOVE him..

Condolence: Dear Ellie and family,

There are no words I can offer that will soften the pain you are going through right now.

Tom was an incredible presence...a force in the town. His passion for Chelmsford always seemed to be at the forefront of his being. He was always there lending a hand when needed, holding a sign for a candidate, volunteering in many different capacitiies. All to show his love for his family, his town and his country.

He will be missed by SO many, and Lou and I want to let you know, we are here for you.

Keeping you and your family in prayer.

Sandi.
