Sarah E. “Sugar” (Montgomery) Bacon – Age 87, resident of Chelmsford passed away on Thursday May 12th at the Westford House Nursing Home in Westford, Massachusetts.

Sugar was born in Belfast, Tennessee on May 14th 1928 and was the daughter of the late Robert Orville and Louise Montgomery of Lewisburg, Tennessee.

Sugar Bacon was employed for many years by Raytheon – Missile System Division in Andover, Mass., Millipore Corp. in Bedford, Mass., and retired from Waters Corp. in Milford, Mass. She was employed at all of these firms as a training specialist assisting in production and manufacturing of a range of high technology equipment.

Sugar Bacon was the beloved mother of George Bacon & wife Linda of Chelmsford and Susan Brackshaw & husband Joseph Crociata of Cape May Point, NJ; beloved grandmother of Keith Bacon & wife Jing of Newton, and Alicia Morello & husband Anthony of Milford, NH, and beloved great grandmother of Alexander Bacon of Newton, Ryan, Amber and Graceland Gregoire of Milford, NH, and Shawn Morello also of Milford, NH and Christine Crociata Baker of Oak Park, IL. Also lovingly survived by her sister Wista Crawford & husband Tommy of Lewisburg, TN, and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces & grandnephews.

Visiting hours will be held on Sunday May 15, 2016 from 1:00 until 3:00PM at the BLAKE FUNERAL HOME, 24 Worthen Street, Chelmsford, MA 01824. At 2:00PM there will be a Service of Remembrance during which family and friends will share some thoughts and stories about Sugar’s life. Interment will be held privately.
