Life Story for Nancy Janet Petito (Pattison)

Nancy Janet (Pattison) Petito, of Moultonborough, NH, formerly of Chelmsford, passed away peacefully at the Emerson Hospital in Concord. She was seventy eight years of age. She was the beloved wife of Tony Petito to whom she was married for fifty one years,

Nancy was born in Woburn, one of ten children of the late Harold and Sarah (Clarke) Pattison. She was raised and educated in Burlington where she and her ten siblings grew up on a farm. She married her beloved Tony in 1965 and lived briefly in Bedford before the family made their home in Chelmsford. Nancy and Tony loved to travel. They made trips all over the country. Her favorite destinations were in Alaska, California and especially Naples, FL where they would winter in their later years. She also enjoyed time spent in Moultonborough, boating on Lake Winnipesaukee or reading a good book on the beach.

A true mother to all who she encountered, family was at the center of Nancy's life. She was an adored wife, a proud mother and she truly cherished her grandchildren. She always enjoyed a family get together and never missed an opportunity to cook or bake for anyone at her table. Nancy will be remembered for her gracious and hospitable demeanor and her unwavering dedication to her family. Her family and friends will miss her dearly.

Nancy is survived by her beloved husband of fifty one years, Tony Petito, her two children David Petito and his longtime girlfriend Cyndi Babin of New Ipswich, NH and Karen Taylor and her husband Tom of Chelmsford. She was a loving grandmother to her two grandsons, Dylan Petito and Brendan Taylor. She also leaves six siblings, Barbara C. Davis of New Mexico, Elizabeth Kulas of Iowa, Margaret Cruickshank of Virginia, David H. Pattison of Bedford, Donna J. Leonard of Ashby and John R. Pattison of Kingston. She was predeceased by her siblings James, Mary and Martha.
